Beautiful Beau Chateau

Hi All

The card I'm posting today is one we made at the mystery night a little while ago.  I also used it as one of my swaps at convention.  I just loved the simplicity of the layout and the sweet punch art flowers.  All pulled together with the gorgeous Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper.  This card even strikes me as a little bit vintage...

I've got the fire going and it's nice and toasty, I'm hoping that the weather sets in and I'll be holed up in the house all weekend.... oh what to do.... chores, cooking, no way I'm thinking it's time to stamp.  Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Project Recipe:
Stamps: Loving Thoughts ( it does say thoughts of you... but my photo's a bit dark sorry)
Ink:  Soft Suede
Card: Soft Suede, Pink Pirhouette, Beau Chateau DSP
Punches: 1 3/4” Square, Doily Triple Layer, Boho Blossoms
Accessories: Piercing Tool, Matt Pack, Metallic Brads, Silver Brads, Frost White Shimmer Spritz (Shimmer Paint & Isocol), Snail Adhesive

Scallop Circle Fun

Hi All, hope the cold dreary weather isn't getting you down.  If it is this next card might just be the thing to brighten up your day.  We made this sweet card at Stamp Club this month.  I wanted to use the Bigz Clear Circle Die that one of my ladies "hi Peggy" lent to me.  So I started to play with the Scallop Circle Die and  thought it might be nice to make a circular card for a change.  I also used my current favourite DSP Twitterpated from the Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue.

On the smaller flowers I stamped off one layer of Riding Hood Red ink from the base image so that when I stamped the line art image on top you had a lighter and darker shade of Riding Hood Red. I was so pleased with how the elements of this card all came together.  I hope you liked it too leave me a comment and let me know what you thought.

Project Recipe:
Stamps: Greenhouse Garden, Style Beautiful
Ink:  Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red
Card: Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Twitterpated DSP
Big Shot etc: Scallop Circle, Bigz Clear Circle
Punches: Bird Builder Punch
Accessories: Pear Pizzazz Pleated Ribbon, Two Way Glue Pen, Dimensionals, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Paper Snips

Spice Cake Sunday

Hi All

It's been a wet and overcast Sunday, and it's been really nice to snuggle in and relax with some TV and reading.  Stampin' Up! have a great promotion during June you can earn for FREE the exclusive Reason to Smile Stamp Set, simply spend $125 on Stampin' Up! products.  Or alternately you can purchase the stamp set for $35.95 wood mount or $28.95 for clear mount stamp set.

My project to share today is one from a recent Mystery Night workshop.  Basically a group of ladies come along and we make some projects just like when a Hostess books a party except the hostess is a mystery.  So each person attending has the chance to earn the hostess benefits, the hostess is picked at random through the door prize. This time the lucky Hostess was Annette, it's the first time she's been able to earn Hostess FREE merchandise which is fantastic!  Keep a lookout on my class dates page for future Mystery Night dates, or alternately email me and I can put you on my mailing list to receive my newsletter.

The first project we made for the Mystery night was a post it note holder which I first saw on the blog of Jill Hilliard.  I really liked Jill's original project so I remade it using the Spice Cake DSP.

Card: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Spice Cake DSP
