A bit of Summer Splash

Hi All, I meant to post this yesterday but just ran out of time (does this happen to you to???)  before the Nautical Journey class last night.  Thanks to the lovely ladies that came along a very enjoyable night making "manly" projects.

This card was a bit of an experiment using shimmer spritz (Frost White Shimmer Paint & Isocol) which I coloured using reinkers.  I did three bottles in different colours, Old Olive, Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy.  I spritzed the colours over a piece of whisper white card stock and let it dry completely.  Next time I'll try watercolour paper and see what effect that gives me. I liked the effect although the colours are quite muted so I'm not sure how you'd go using the Subtles Collection Colours.

Project Recipe:
Stamps: Summer Splash, Party This Way
Ink:  Old Olive
Card: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Old Olive
Big Shot etc: Perfect Polka Dots
Punches: 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, Round Tab, 1 3/4" Circle
Accessories: Frost White Shimmer Paint, Old Olive, Baja Breeze & Not Quite Navy Reinkers, Lucky Limeade Organdy Ribbon SAB, Dimensionals

So what did you think?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  Hope you all have a fabulous week.

Watercolour Roses

We had a glorious sunny day today the perfect weather for a Saturday.  We had the Nautical Journey Class this morning and had a good time stamping, chatting and creating the masculine nautical themed projects.  It was a great morning and I look forward to seeing the ladies that are coming to Monday nights class we will be making the same projects.

I have another card from my creatively inspired weekend a few weeks ago.   I used Watercolour Wonder Crayons and a Blender Pen to watercolour the rose image.  I like using the Watercolour Wonder Crayons and am always looking for new ways to use them.

Here's hoping you have a great weekend and that the weather is just as good tomorrow as it was today.

Fresh Vintage Card

Hi All, I hope you've had a lovely weekend.  I started off with a small but lovely Stamp Club on Saturday morning, followed by a very slow and unproductive rest of the weekend.  Mostly that's due to a bad toothache and some pain medication.  Luckily the dentist has given me some antibiotics and hopefully that should take care of it and I'll be back to normal soon.

Luckily enough last weekend was a very productive weekend so I have a few new thing's I'll be posting this week.  My inspiration last weekend mainly came from the Sale-a-Bration stamp sets and Designer Series Paper.  There are some lovely offerings this year to spark your inspiration and creativity.  Here's one of my favourite cards using the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set.
